POETRY

ghosting

to be your midnight rug
i love all of a blister
wet ashes
in your heart
but you know how they—
as they will know—but don’t leave again

i am dead, died at ease
but to live and it would include
i may hear your passionate pretensions…
but when we nurture our own lives
we can grow into dragonflies
mating heart-shaped
but
laisse true love walk
airdrop our fruit like
windfall

selfie horizon

on the fence
of the sea and me
my digital mirror
transforms
narcissus into one and o
self-absorption 1.0
horizon in 2D
videor ergo sum
my lame duckling faces
the public peephole
with a slight squint but
reduced double chin
my improved neck contour
nets plenty of other fish
nonperson catalogued
yet sometimes
i am a shining example of gloomy
and then
i snap a photo of my food
and prove
i can stomach the world
